Girpe:
Italian Research Group on Political Economy
The
research group is concerned with the analysis, at the theoretical
and empirical levels, of various aspects of the economic life of
Italy and Europe and their institutions. The Girpe focuses its
research on the application of economic models and methods to the
study of economic processes and institutions; the influence of
economic factors on the formation of public policy and on
institutional change; the economic and social effects of economic
policy on unemployment in Italy and, in particular, in the
Mezzoggiorno. Girpe “discussion papers" provides a forum for
the academic discussion of original ideas in economic analysis.
